Small farmer in a big city

Potatoes on the farm

Potatoes on the farm

3/6/18

Today I planted potatoes. 8.25 pounds across three twenty five foot rows. In Houston, you plant potatoes around Valentine's day. Unfortunately, I missed the date. Oh, well shit happens sometimes.  I planted one row of Red Lasoda, one of Yukon Gold, one row of White Kennebec and one mixed row, made up of all the leftovers from planting the other rows.I interplanted contender green beans with the spuds.

Curious to see if I can turn fifteen pounds into fifty. I will keep you updated on the progress. Come along and ride on this fantastic voyage.
